We are now in our tenth year and going from strength to strength. LaSquadra is not about a set speed or regime, just a group of like-minded cyclists getting together and riding as hard as you like while not taking it too seriously. All new members welcome – no one gets left behind!
LaSquadra Club Rides:
Tuesday Evening 6.15pm for 6.30pm, Norfolk Arms, Ringinglow. Sheffield.
Sunday Morning 9.00am for 9.30am, Norfolk Arms, Ringinglow. Sheffield.
We are going for something a bit different this weekend, thanks to Condor cycles we have a route which takes in a variety of surfaces.
We are starting in a small village near East Midlands airport and looping round towards Leicester and back round via Ashby-de-la-Zouch for a 120km loop.
Meeting at the Norfolk Arms at 8:00am to squeeze into as few cars as possible then drive down. We’ll most likely make use of some liquid establishments on the way round and then debate how good we all were in the Norfolk Arms when we get back.
We did it last year and it was fab, so we are doing it again just to make sure.
Meet at Nonnas sheffield on ecclesall road from 7:30am and we ride out at 8:00am (notes Nonnas won’t be open)
Its an approx 200km ride with around 1300m of climbing with a proper lunch stop in Lincoln. Thunder burgers were the main attraction last year, as well as Greggs (obviously) It’s a reasonably long day in the saddle so come with proper kit and properly prepared as well as spare tubes, tools and money for food. It will be a 5pm ‘ish get back so lights that work and are charged up / have batteries in them would be sensible and preferred please.
Meet Norfolk Arms as usual 6.15pm for 6.30pm.
Our regular Sunday ride this week is taking us over to Edale and up Mam Nick and then into Goyt Valley.
Planning on it being a 2 cafe ride the No Car Cafe and Longnor because its a 100km & 2000m ride and we like cake.
Normal meet at the Norfolk Arms at 9:00am and then ride out from 9:30am. Finish will be back at the Norfolk Arms for any that want / require any recovery beverages.
Proper ride rules will apply as always.
